A few years ago I drew some sketches from life. Normally I work abstractly. Here are several sketches of small objects I rendered while sitting and waiting in different locations, i.e., restaurants, laundromat, home and my classroom.

Looks Like Painting

Some folks have said the expressive way I use graphite almost looks like a painting. I studied under an artist who worked experimentally with drawing media. He used to tell us that we needed to ask ourselves "why not?"

Yes, It's Just Graphite!

These pieces were created only using graphite on Reeves BFK paper . . . etchers use it in thier work . . . I like the rag texture . . . it takes a lot of abuse . . . that is good when you need to erase.
